That's why the people of Rajasthan dry the vegetables in the sun heat and keep it for the whole year. Then prepare vegetables by making them.

In Rajasthan, many types of vegetables are made from gram flour which are very tasty. Among these vegetables there is a gram flour pitoda vegetable which is eaten with great fervor.

Pitod is a type of vegetable made from gram flour in Rajasthan, it is cooked by dissolving gram flour in water and stirring continuously on low flame till it becomes thick. Then spread it in a greased tray, cool it and cut it into square pieces.

Pithor made from gram flour is a famous traditional dish of Rajasthan. It is a type of salted gram flour pudding which after cooking is spread on a plate and after cooling it is cut into pieces. To make this, the measurement of gram flour and water is very important. In Rajasthan, vegetables are also prepared from the pithor of gram flour.

Prep time : 5 minutes
Cook time : 15 minutes
Serve : 6

INGREDIENTS-

1 cup of gram flour (बेसन)।
½ tbsp carom seeds (अजवायन)।
½ tbsp salt (नमक)।
1 tsp red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर)।
½ tsp turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर)।
3¼ cup of water (पानी)।
Ghee for greasing (चिकनाई के लिए घी)।

METHOD-

Prepare a thin batter by adding all the spices and water to the gram flour. Cook on high flame stirring continuously till it comes to a boil. Now reduce the flame to medium and cook with a wooden spatula, stirring continuously, till it becomes thick. Check by putting some paste on a plate.  If easily leaving the plate.  It means ready.  Now turn off the flame.  Spread the hot paste on a greased plate, after it cools down, cut it into square pieces. Very tasty Rajasthani traditional, famous gram flour pithor is ready.

Note-

If the batter is not cooked by stirring continuously, then it sticks to the bottom.
